               Medical coding is the process of converting diagnoses, treatments, services, and equipment used in healthcare into standard medical alphanumeric codes. Required skills and abilities:-

• Knowledge of the ICD-9-CM and CPT coding standards, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as state and federal Medicare reimbursement criteria and English grammar and usage.
• Reading, interpreting, and applying rules, procedures, laws, and regulations; conducting research and data analysis; and coming to conclusions and resolving problems.
• The capacity to understand and comprehend medical terminology and processes.
• Ability to create learning materials, lead group discussions, and instruct staff

• The capacity to make independent decisions;
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required to create reports and related documentation and to keep up working connections with other staff members and medical professionals.
• The capacity to remain discreet.
